Before joining Whipple Azzarello, Ms. McClelland practiced in the Litigation Department of a large regional law firm, where she defended premises owners and manufacturers in mass tort and personal injury suits, including the defense of a premises owner in toxic tort personal injury suits arising from the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. She also both brought and defended tax appeals related to large industrial and commercial properties and has trial experience before the New Jersey Tax Court.
Ms. McClelland advises public entities and businesses alike with respect to the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law and has successfully represented clients in litigation involving public contract disputes. She also advises clients on compliance with New Jersey’s “Pay to Play” laws and ordinances.
She previously worked for several years on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Aide advising a United States Congressman on issues involving the judiciary, Social Security, and welfare and housing issues.
